There's... a lot to unpack with my reading of Spring Awakening. Reflective, this edition grasps the reader whole into a vat, seemingly, of social issues—because the read is filled with them. Although short as it might seem, this is a heavy book, grotesque in its fashion, slapping the reader of reality which so often eludes them. A great book, certainly, but one I still want to digest for quite a while before opening again.
