The novel version was much, much better. I found this kind of hard to follow despite knowing the plot (though I asked my husband, who hasn't read the book book, and he said he followed it fine). It also left out SO MUCH explanation and backstory that would have added a lot. And of course, like any adaptation, there were some things I simply imagined differently, but that is no fault of the writers/artists. :) Overall, I'd say if you loved Wool then you might like this, but if you haven't read this or Wool yet, then go for the novel first.
