If you love [a:Mindy Kaling|194416|Mindy Kaling|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1440718587p2/194416.jpg] or humor or TV shows in general, this is undoubtedly a must read !
I have read 'Is everyone hanging out without Me' and is a favorite, so naturally I had to read this one and the next and the next , you get the the drift!
In Why not Me, she had mentioned that many people wants to be BFF with her : I was bit kinda embarrassed to realize that because I have went quite on and on about how I want to be friends with her :D Hence no more BFF stuff with Mindy ;)
You will be my favorite Comedian/Writer/Actress now on.
I guess my love for her comes also from the fact that she's an Indian yet was able to make quite big in Hollywood [I know there are a lot of other Indians who had made it big in Hollywood],but not as writer/actress/comedian all :)
In a way she makes me inspired !
I love The Mindy's Project and it was so fun to know how it all started and materialized into a show.
I am quite a sitcom buff and as much as i love watching them, reading about the thought process and actual effort and other stuff goes into it makes me all excited :)
The chapters on B.J. Novak and Will, was nothing less than some rom-com novel for me.
Hilarious and romantic, but there's no better way than that to express at times what people mean to us :)
Then the chapter on Confidence, honestly it was not much of a profound thought but sure it makes so much sense :
“People talk about confidence without ever bringing up hard work. That’s a mistake. I know I sound like some dour older spinster on Downtown Abbey who has never felt a man’s touch and whose heart has turned to stone, but I don’t understand how you could have self-confidence if you don’t do the work... I have never, ever, ever, met a high confident person and successful person who is not what a movie would call a 'workaholic.' Because confidence is like respect; you have to earn it.”
Go and get it, you wont regret it :)
