The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair
by Joël Dicker
I quite enjoyed this book. It felt like it had too distinct halves. The first was quite slow and explored the relationships and history of Marcus, Harry and Nola, all very promising. The second half was an entirely different novel it felt like the author was exploring every possible ending. Every possibility entertained, explained and then dismissed, it was like seeing the authors work in progress without the edits. Is this what happens when an author begins a novel and doesn't know how it will end?
However, there are so many twists and turns that this book becomes incredibly moreish.
