This read like a first draft. The book is not short by any means but it still feels underdeveloped. Kitty is insufferable and so are her friends, despite the constant mentions of her being vegan and donating money and being super self-aware (even though she keeps behaving in the same, predictable ways). I love a morally grey character as much as the next person, but Kitty seemed to just have two separate personalities with no correlation or overlap. I also have major issues with the way the story ended. It was entirely out of character, which is a feat given how little character was constructed, and it shamelessly set up for a part 2 (which, I just googled, does exist). As a final note, more humour would have been nice? I think a lot of attempts at being "witty" fell flat on their face and it's just cringe.

However, I will give the author that there is never any indication that Kitty & co. are good people and should be loved/respected, which is a major bonus. The reader gets to pass on that judgement. It is also very fast-paced, with a chapter length that's perfect for a day where you just sit on the sofa and read all afternoon. With all its issues, I have to admit it was overall entertaining.
