Lost all credibility once it became clear that the father in the family would rather let his daughter continue (for many months) in a relationship with someone who might or might not be her half brother rather than undergo the shame (?????) of revealing to his second wife that he'd once, many years ago, had a one night stand when he was married to his first wife.

Would have been nice if the book was actually about the summer place, as opposed to New York in COVID times.
