Ain't He Precious? by Juliette Poe, Sawyer Bennett

5.0

Ain't he Precious is the first book from Juliette Poe, alter ego of the ridiculously talented Sawyer Bennett. I've read all of Sawyer's books, so of course I'm going to read Juliette's. Ain't he Precious is a sweet, small town romance with a little bit of heat and a whole lotta heart. I especially loved this story being a Yankee myself. Ryland and Trixie were in a relationship in college. They were in love and thought they had a future together, but Trixie decided to move back home to North Carolina. Eleven years later and she's practicing law in her home town and needs help on a case. She needs Ryland's help. He drops everything to help the girl who got away. After only a few minutes together, their chemistry is still there. Will Ryland be able to walk away this time? Does Trixie realize she made a mistake by walking away from the love of her life? I loved this story! I love small town romance and second chance romances! Ryland is smart, sexy and such a Yankee, bless his heart. Trixie is sexy, funny and loyal. I'm already in love with the secondary characters and can't wait for more in this series!

It's the North versus the South all over again.
