Jane Austen truly never disappoints. While this is possibly my least favourite of the ones I’ve read, it’s still brilliant, and I am especially fond of Anne Elliot. Austen’s writing is beautiful - “you pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. I have loved none but you.” I enjoyed each and every chapter. I wish we had more romance though, and I also wish more had been said about Anne’s initial engagement.
