If you're looking a new time period to read then this one is perfect! It's set in the Edwardian era which is new to me in historical romance and I loved it. Times are changing and the old ways are battling the new ways in this one so you get a feel for how it affected everyone. I loved his mother because she was so sneaky with her plans for them and got her own surprise in the end. They had an instant connection and she was exactly what he needed in his life.
Ivy had no plans to marry so she could keep her independence and fight for her rights. I loved her right away because of how she thought about things and didn't stay quiet. Her backstory was different and I loved it.
Leo had changed since his father's scandalous death and not for the better. I loved how he was with his mother and that he was doing what he thought best. When he realized who she was he changed to his true self.
I wish this was longer because I flew through it.
