I love the murderbot diaries, and as much as I love murderbot and the inner workings of a social anxiety android this felt.. a little let down.
Every single book until now has had a fair amount of action. This one.. didn't. This was a simple murder mystery.
And while I found her interacting with other bots fascinating, I felt the books blurb and teasing about speaking to other humans.. well I expected there would have been more actually speaking to humans while investigating said murder. And there wasn't. There was some interacting with Indah who was in charge of the investigation but other than that.. not really. So why make us excited for some funny awkward social scenes in the blurb? It wasn't necessary.
