Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura

4.0

17/09/18 Update:

Read this as an introduction to archaeology and archaeological digs. It was a great transition activity from RE to history. They enjoyed it and related it back to our real-life Stone Age Day.

I can't wait to share this with my class - 4*

I think I prefer this to Ug: Boy Genius of the Stone Age but I think that book is more appropriate to Y4. I really, really enjoyed this and I think I can get a lot out of the illustrations. I think Stone Age Boy will be a great introduction to the Stone Age so I will read it in the first week and I hope my class enjoy it. It provides a great introductory context. It doesn't have as much detail as Ug but I don't think that's needed as that's not the purpose of the book: this is an introduction to the Stone Age!

Really enjoyable!
