Pippa Park Raises Her Game by Erin Yun

This was cute. Not necessarily something I'd seek out at this age, but it was good because it was there. I started reading this on a flight when I realized I didn't have much else downloaded that I hadn't read, so I went with this.

Yeah, there was a lot of miscommunication because of the genre (it's a staple for MG/YA realistic fiction to have this tbh) but it was cute. The characters were well fleshed-out and worked well with each other, and there was enough subplot to keep me going. I really liked the side characters as well.

This will be a book that's easily forgettable, but that I would recommend for middle graders, or for middle grade teachers to introduce with their students.
