The Huntress by Kate Quinn
5.0
I'm a huge WW2 buff and a Russian speaker, so when I found out that this book dealt with the Night Witches and the tracking down of a Nazi war criminal, I was excited to read it.

I cried at multiple points, I cheered throughout the end, and I loved the Russian incorporated into the book. The relationship between I also loved the villain, the titular Huntress. She was so well written. I couldn't put this book down and finished it in two days. There was an amazing emotional payoff in the end.
I had some minor quibbles, as I always do when Western authors attempt to write Russian characters, particularly characters in stories set during the Soviet Union. Kate Quinn did not manage to escape all the negative and grating stereotypes about Russians. I also took issue with the Jewish character I also didn't buy the relationship between
This was my favorite book I've read recently, and I recommend it to everyone I can.
