You're Breaking My Heart
by Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich
I’m so glad this book exists! Grief is such a heavy conversation and I think the references and magical realism coaxes you into the story with a touch of whimsy (while never making light of the grief if that makes any sense). I also really liked the pacing of this book. It never felt to slow, but sped up perfectly when it needed to.
Kind of puts me in the mindset of a modernized Alice in Wonderland with the heavy whimsy.
