Outlander Series - 7 Book Set by Diana Gabaldon
This is a series I love to hate. I keep going because a) I cannot believe how long it is and I want resolution dang it, and b) I cannot help wondering what ELSE can happen to this poor family.
The history and setting are great. I could do without the ridiculous sex on a kilt after 3 days in the saddle (ouch) and the miraculous imperviousness of the main characters to lice, saddle sores, urinary tract infections, and low libidos in the face of never ending peril.
I have hurled each and every book across the room at least once.
