Strange Houses by Uketsu
4.0

A clever book. I really enjoyed the first 2/3s where they are confused by different floor plans and try to understand why these oddities exist such as a child’s room with no windows and a random extra walled in space in the kitchen. This part is told through conversations as Uketsu and his friend try to understand what is happening in these houses. It’s the final 3rd that slightly lost me as we are told about what is going on and why the houses have all been built this way. However the epilogue reignites the intrigue and makes you question some of what you have learned in that last 3rd which I found interesting.

I would definitely want to read Strange Pictures and the upcoming Strange Buildings after having read this book.
