I absolutely loved this book. Admittedly, I was a little nervous when I started reading it,  because I had seen a lot of reviews saying it was way too slow and boring. It's definitely slow, but I don't think I would've empathised with the characters in the same way hadn't it been so thorough with each of the main characters.

I love Walton, and I love Victor. They're both amazing narrators, and, yes, ... I am a Victor sympathiser.

If you have some patience and believe in this concept, then I'd say this is definitely a worthy read. Even though it's heavy, it's not that long, and there really is a reason why this story has survived for as long as it has.
