This felt like 2 books mashed into one, it’s so complicated for no reason. We zoom so fast through so many plot points that when they’re brought up again later it’s like “oh is that what happened? Is that the sentiment that was being invoked there?” Way too many plot and emotional shortcuts for a story that did NOT have to be paced like this. I’m so disappointed, I loved the first volume so much 😭
