Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

I have no words.

This is so raw and beautiful and messy that it’s just absolutely wonderful.

Writing modern books can be tricky, especially when you’re making pop culture references that can go over the reader’s head or come across as outdated. But I was still fully immersed even when I didn’t understand the references, and THAT is a testament to Tia Williams’ amazing writing.

I loved so many characters in this book, especially our lead, Eva. She is such a complex character and I love watching her on her journey. I also liked how there is no such thing as someone who is bad, but can act badly or do bad things because of the fact that humans are complex creatures.

It destroyed me and was 100% worth all the hype and praise it’s gotten.
