Endless Night by Agatha Christie
4.0

Very, very good, almost a five star. A bit of an experimental novel from Christie, more exposition and place setting. The murder itself doesn't take place until over halfway through the book, and every clue seems a red herring - which should be a clue unto itself. I was so intrigued by the different pace and writing style that the slower opening did not bother me. Honestly, I felt the reveal to be a bit disappointing and not entirely surprising. I was hungry for some kind of resolution somewhere, anywhere, but once the reveal happened, there was no need for explanations. The remaining denoument felt a let-down. I would have preferred a more traditional Christie wrap-up. But... to each his own. All in all, excellent, though I would not recommend to a beginner Christie.
