I completely forgot how crazy straight people were. This is the first straight people book I’ve read in years probably and I see why I can’t really read the straight people shit anymore. Now, I say this while having the next new Emily Henry 2025 book on my to-read list, so this book could not have been that terrible. I just think that straight couples are boring as fuck in comparison to lesbians and if the two main characters in this were queer, preferably lesbians, I may have ate this shit up!! (Yes, I am 5000% biased cus I’m a huge dyke, what can I say) Miles was mad dry, literally #JustSomeGuy personified. He was nice, and that was all there was to him. I love our protagonist’s children librarian career, but outside of that, she bored me. Huge yawn. Literally forcing myself to read some sapphic erotica immediately after I finish writing this review to remember who I am & go back to real literature aka: that gay shit. This book just make me audibly say to myself “thank god I’m not straight”.
