Sugar Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke
2.0

If you love your TV Soaps, this is a series for you. Who did it? The husband who's recently divorced and married a showgirl from Vegas over a weekend? His mother who still loves his ex-wife? The ex-wife who is still madly in love with her ex-husband? The over-due pregnant sister who can't stop eating sweets? The middle school band teacher who went to high school with the showgirl? The baker who is too nervous about confessing her love for the local detective? Her mother's new boyfriend from Britain, who's the heartthrob of the church potluck? The baker's assistant who just had to reschedule her wedding?

This popped up on my seasonal recommendations from my library. It attracted me because it's based in my home state, Minnesota - and I will admit I have been to a handful of church potlucks like this one - not with murder - but the small-town gossip and MN nice we all whip out during the holidays. I'm stuck between 2 stars and 3 stars - it's a charming story, but just not for me.
