The last 75 pages were the best parts of the book, it was a lot of slow build up and thankfully it had a couple of twists that made it interesting, but the book could’ve been half the length, felt like a lot of filler. Also this was reviewed as “scary” according to the NYT but unfortunately I wasn’t spooked or disturbed in any way.
