For Bread Alone by Mohamed Choukri

5.0

One of the books I related to the most, I always heard of the experiences of the past generations and the trauma of moving to the city from the countryside especially during the protectorate era/
10/10 of read, especially if you want to know about the daily wretched life of the Moroccan working class.
Some would call it overly grim and dark but that just adds to the character of the book.
