Finally! A non-romance genre for me. Sci-Fi fantasy. It was a bit of a slog sometimes, but you’re really rallying for the main character in the end. And I liked the story overall. The mystery kept me going. It was a nice balance between the fantasy parts, but it was grounded in Malaysia. It was a real setting with ghosts and gods. I thought it was nice she and the god could both let go of their self-made prisons together. And it had a HEA that didn’t make me cringe
