The Girls in the Garden
by Lisa Jewell
This books follows a large group of characters in a close knit community, all living around a small community garden. A new family moves in to the neighbourhood and are accepted into the group until one of the children, Grace, is found attacked. The book starts with Grace being found and goes back to show everything that lead to up to the event.
I've read a lot of Lisa Jewell's books but just did not get on with this one at all. I'm not sure if it's because I listened to the audiobook rather than physically reading it, but I found it so hard to follow. I think there were way too many characters so keep track off and the plot was slow moving with a very unclimactic pay ending. There were also a lot of gross things happening which were uncomfortable to read.
