Omon Ra by Victor Pelevin
3.0
3/5 stars! Spoiler-Free Review
This book gave me a lot of emotions, in all honesty. After reading the synopsis on the back I was really looking forward to reading this book and seeing what happens, but the actual writing style left me somewhat disappointed. I've heard a lot of really positive reviews about this book and I can definitely understand why it's so popular! The plot line was really interesting and the end had a nice twist that I found intriguing and interesting. However, I had trouble following what was happening at times, as a result of the way Pelevin chose to write the book. I don't think it was all writing style, though, as there were many points where I didn't fully understand the context of what was happening, simply because of my limited knowledge of Russia and Russian culture in the time period that this book took place in.
Overall, though, good book! It was fairly short and was a fast-paced read.
