Game over. This sentence alone had me head over heels for this book.
Any Trope but You by Victoria Lavine is set to be released on April 1st! This is not an April Fool’s joke! This is her DEBUT novel and she knocked it out of the park. I received a digital ARC from netgalley and atriabooks for my honest feedback.
This is a delightful, beautiful, heartfelt book with some heat! I am not typically a “spicy” romance reader but this book had it all for me 💕🤣😢🥵. I loved the premise of a cynical romance writer and the “Happily Never After”. I loved the breaking of the fourth wall about all of the tropes. I loved the emotional pull of the caretakers and how impactful it can be on all family members. I really don’t think I have anything negative to say. Within the first chapter, I was hooked (and laughing out loud) and I devoured this book.
The characters are all so lovable and relatable. I am still thinking about this book weeks later. It’s very memorable. 🥰
The authors note at the end is worth the read as well. This book is 10/10, would recommend, all the stars.
