We meet Teal who is in college and an artist. She basically hides herself due to her mental health illness, but either way gets the eye of Declan Pierce. Declan Pierce is dark, unhinged and will stop at nothing to get stuff done. The man is an apologetic about his decision and I love that about him.

In the first chapters, it seems like it’s a Romeo and Juliet retelling, what with the Donovans and Pierce’s fighting. So through blackmail Declan gets Teal to date him fake dating him basically. There’s a thin line between love and hate really applies in this book. We have MCs who truly hate each other then become a fake couple then fall in love; while all this is happening, we have a secret society of sorts in the background and the MMC is trying to figure out what is going on.

Soooo many plot twists!!!! Everywhere!!! The ending was amazing!!!

Truth? It was at 50%. I realized that this book should’ve been longer than it was. I felt from the time they made the fake dating relationship to the room scene and to the falling part that the plot was rushed for me. I thought I had some holes in the story or maybe it was Insta lust but I wanted more. Don’t get me wrong It’s a good book. It was so good I wanted more.
