Tis the season and I was indulging in a number of holiday stories this week. I saved Garrett for last because she is one of my favorite authors. Christmas on Firefly Hill was everything I wanted it to be. It’s a story about finding love when life is hard and that just so happens to be during the holidays. I was not surprised that it had a chasm of depth and her incomparably lovable characters. I am a mood reader and I can always count on Garrett to make me FEEL deeply for her characters, their pasts, and their future HEA. This story was no different and an absolute treat to read.

They met on a summer night in the rain and shared only a kiss that neither forgot– a kiss that both dreamed about on lonely nights. I can’t say enough how much I enjoy Garrett Leigh’s stories. Christmas on Firefly Hill was just the kind of story I enjoy with a holiday twist. I love the holidays as much as the next person, but sometimes Christmas stories are too short and lack the depth you expect from writers. Garrett delivered on all fronts. This story wasn’t rushed– with a lot of heart, steam, angst, great characters, and holiday spirit. I’m almost mad at myself for reading this so quickly, but fortunately I’m not adverse to rereading books I loved. And I really loved this story.
