Reminds me of The Last Houseguest, which I love, and The Girls Who Disappeared, Midnight Dunes and Listen for the Lie because of the podcast element. YAWN with the podcast investigations already.
Tamara Drayton was found floating face-down in the pool of her family’s mansion in the south of France, leaving her twin brother, golden-boy Blake, and little sister, Nina, and their mother who is on her umpteenth marriage.
Nina, at six years old, became the youngest person ever to testify in a French murder trial. She claims she saw Josie Jackson, local townie whose mom cleans the mansion, push Tamara under the water until she stopped breathing.
Josie and Hannah are the townies who try to fit in with the wealthy summer people. Hannah has a fling with Blake, which she fantasizes will result in her being introduced as his girlfriend and being accepted into his society. Josie is more realistic, but still engages in her own secret friendship with Blake’s twin sister, Tamara.
Twenty years later, Nina's memories have faded, leaving her with no idea of what really happened.
When a new true crime documentary about her sister’s murder is announced, Nina wants to finally figure it out.
Spoiler : Tamara’s twin brother, Blake, drugged Tamara and she stumbled and fell off the terrace and into the pool.
Nina remembered Tamara and Josie in the pool earlier in the week, when Tamara had tried to kiss Josie and Josie pushed Tamara off of her.
