I’m kind of disappointed with this one. I was really looking forward to the rest of this series. I think it had decent potential to be a really interesting series, but this book was just boring. Nothing plot wise really happened and usually I don’t care because I like character driven stories and I don’t need much plot to enjoy a book, but nothing really progressed with them romantically either. I know they were trying to figure out if she really was Mortana and dealing with how that affects them but it was very similar to their conflict in the first book and we’ve already been through this.

I do like when the FMC works to get stronger and proves herself to the MC but that moment didn’t really happen. It was leading up to that moment but Orion swooped in and ruined it. It was actually very frustrating to read. Which could have been the intent behind it but when Orion was already frustrating in this book it just really annoyed me.

I’m still going right to the next book so here’s to hoping it get better!
