The Promise, Part 2 by Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino, Gene Luen Yang

3.0

It was better than the first part? Personally, the story line about Toph and her bending school was the strongest part. Zuko's daddy issues don't really do much for most of the story and he ends up acting like an immature, confused twerp too much for me to care. Aang's fan club is cute but ineffectual. I feel like I'm supposed to side with Aang and think Katara is selfish for not seeing what he sees - but on the other hand, I'd rather be with Katara on this one. Bonus points for a consistent aesthetic and keeping all the awesome combat and humor from the series in the comic (although Sokka's comments on the romance going down in the Aang Gang are starting to grate).
