Black Hollow by Myria Candies

5.0

**TRIGGER WARNING**
This book contains details of violence, drugging one's drink, abusive/possessive behaviour and death (premature death included). If a sensitive reader, this book isn't for you.

" "They talked about you. You're the one," she repeated in a whisper, her icy breath nipping my cheek. "

What to say about this other than..."oh... oh wow! That was unexpected!"
Yes this was my reaction, and it will probably be yours too.

I finished Black Hollow in one day... Now that alone says a lot!
I couldn't put the book down! I was so intruiged by the plot that I didn't want to miss a single thing!

The characters are all so secretive and each seem to act upon their hidden emotions. You won't know who's the good guy or who's the bad guy/girl/person until near the end.
Not even I could figure it out! I was shocked!!
This book is fast-paced and tense, oh so tense! Yet its also exciting!

Not everything is revealed in this book and it forever leaves that mystery hanging. A characteristic which I have learned to love a lot!
I do know that there will be a book after this that will reveal some more, but for now, I am left in a mystery, trying to come up with conclusions that may reveal answers. But, I am left completely clueless. I cannot think the same way Myria does. (I'm glad about this because if I did, then I may figure out what happens and therefore it would be no mystery for me.)

I would most certainly read more books by Myria as this one shows how good her stories are and how wonderful her writing style is.
As a debut novel, Black Hollow has certainly left a great impression on me which gives me high expectations for Myria's next novel. So, Myria... I hope the pressure isn't too high!
Her style of writing is easy to read and not too descriptive. If you love to read books that make you feel like a quick reader... Read this!
