This book ticked off so many tropes and was entirely predictable ~ h o w e v e r ~ that was all I needed it to be and so this was a very enjoyable and comfortable read.
I loved the dynamic between the two main characters, as cliche as it was, and was surprised by the world building and political intrigue?? A copy-paste enemies-to-lovers/marriage-of-convenience making me care about politics and the alliances between the countries in this kingdom?! It’s almost unheard of lol. Something about the setting and vibe of this book really did it for me too. The smut was pretty nice too and felt earned. I will be reading book two immediately
