I brought this book last year because I was seeing a lot of hype for the series but DNFed it because I just couldn't get into it. I decided to give it another go again this year because I was seeing more love for the series, and whilst I did manage to finish the book I am still not sure I agree with all the hype. The second half of the book is certainly better than the first, though not by much. I'm not a huge fan of the writing style with the strikethrough and the insane amount of hyperbole - I understand that that is a conscious choice made by the author and that it plays into the story but I am still not a fan. I am also didn't really enjoy how fast the relationship within the book moved. I know YA books are infamous for the fast-moving relationships but this was even worse than usual. I doubt I will be picking up any other books in this series.
