The Guilty Wife by Elle Croft
3.0

The book is interesting and you cannot take that away from the author, but it was also highly predictable and at times the writing was very rushed.
You know what’s gonna happen and who’s guilty from the characters introduction and the whole book is a bit o a stretch as we follow dumb(bc let’s face it anyone could have seen it) Bethany trying to solve her lovers murder. I don’t think the book was crap, it kept me reading, but for someone who reads a lot of thrillers, it wasn’t thrilling. And the prologue was not necessary. I felt like the author wasn’t sure if her writing was enough to make readers understand what happened and felt the need to explain. But it actually sounded like she thought her readers were dumb.
