In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren

I’ve know for a long time that one of my favorite types of romance novels is when the heroine discovers that her true love is the person right under her nose that she ignored while crushing on guys she barely knows. I’m discovering that one of my least favorite types is the opposite—the heroine has a long-time infatuation/crush on someone she loves from afar, and then it turns into the real thing. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just doesn’t work for me— at least not in the few I’ve read. It feels too much like wish fulfillment. This is one of those types. I skimmed. It was OK.
