A Touch of Ruin
by Scarlett St. Clair
"The first rule of men, Persephone, is that they’re all idiots."
At the end of Touch of Darkness, Persephone had finally found herself, but we lost all of that progress. I'm honestly not sure what happened.
She was getting on my nerves, I was sick of her not trusting Hades. She was whiny and lacked confidence. She came off as very insecure. Throughout Touch of Ruin, she was constantly "messing up" and running to Hecate. Every little thing seemed to be a misunderstanding.
Hermes is still by far my favorite part of this book. We were also introduced to Apollo, and he's slowly growing on me.
I now understand why people say Persephone is annoying. However, I still sped through this book and will be continuing on to the next book.
