The book gives an authentic insight into life in Britain during the industrial revolution. The social criticism is poignant - I especially liked the dialogues between Mr and Mrs Bumble. In parts, the story is quite exciting and fast-paced, too. However, I found it dragged in other parts and could have been shorter. Also, it got a bit annoying just how pure and good Oliver is... Overall, still an enjoyable read!
