I really wanted to like this book. It had such promise but I feel like it needed to go through a few more revisions before it was really ready for the general public. This read like Fourth Wing fan fiction, which is totally okay! But just wasn’t for me. 

 

It was very clearly a takeoff of Fourth Wing and the dialog was a bit painful for me. I also could not figure out how about 40-50% through the book was only 2 weeks and yet she was practically being drooled over by two hot twins who were complete opposites? 

 

A professor was killed (wait is this all of a sudden Zodiac Academy?) but I had to go back to read it happened twice and still felt like it was tossed in.  Barefoot but has shoes? I am so confused! Needs quills but has really fancy espresso machines? 

 

I got to the end and went… Okay? 

 

Such potential! It just really needed more editing and more revision. 

 

 

The writer has talent and I think she could be very good, but needs more revisions. Which I’ve said three times now.
