This was a good spooky mystery/thriller set in a newly-opened high-end cottage resort. The main female character who owns the resort is reminiscent of Nicole Kidman's character in <i>Nine Perfect Strangers</i>. The owner's past discretions come hurdling back at her on her opening weekend in a haunting sequence of events. The author does a good job of switching the narrative between a handful of characters while ping-ponging between the present and events that happened 15 years prior. 3.5 stars.
