This wasn't for me, but I also don't DNF books. Marshall has a clear authorial voice, but while I can respect his ability to write, getting thrown into a chapter 2 about preteen boys discovering the joys of a back massager's off-label uses was ... not for me. And I didn't really get fully into it, even when he talked about being a theatre kids in school.
