The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman

3.0

This was a fun little read. I really enjoyed that the protagonists of the story were older people, I don’t read a lot of books that focus on that age range. I loved the way friendships were displayed and developed throughout the book among the Club members and the police officers. The only thing was I really didn’t care about the crime that jump started the plot. I was just like “who cares it’s corrupt businessmen being jackasses and killing each other” but the way they connected it to the club at the end was really cool. Basically these old people dug up a bunch of other old peoples secrets from the past in order to try to figure out who killed said business man. And I think it’s about healing, coming to terms with one’s own mortality and the mortality of the people one loves, and working together to figure something out.
