The title of the book is interesting because it's pretty obvious, generally speaking, what did happen to Nina from pretty early on in the novel. This is more a story of the friends and family surrounding Nina and WHY/HOW the person who hurt her did what they did. There's a lot going on in this book and I mostly really enjoyed it. I thought the writing style was a little odd, but perhaps that is because a non American author is writing with an American voice and it didn't quite hit the mark. But besides that, I was riveted to this novel and really had a hard time putting it down. While I felt like I knew what was going to happen, I still found myself breathless as I waited to find out the details. This was a very enjoyable thriller, all around.
