Elemental: How the Periodic Table Can Now Explain (Nearly) Everything by Tim James

informative lighthearted

3.5

This is one of the better pop chemistry books out there. It doesn't bombard you with cringy puns but seriously who thought a joke about silicone gel saving Hollywood was a good idea? 🤦‍♂️ The problem is, the book's organization is all over the place. Random topics pop up out of nowhere, and the author just rambles on and on, especially in the early chapters. Still it's worth a read if you can overlook these quirks. I'd give it a solid 3.5/5
