Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes
3.0
3-1/2 Stars
There are some very good things about this book. Some VERY funny lines, good dialogue, a very likable leading man and some noteworthy secondary characters. But Evvie...she just drove me a bit crazy a lot of the time. I know her behavior was meant to keep the plot moving along but I kept having to take breaks from her because I kinda wanted to give her a good smack on the head. And the ending was a teeny bit lackluster for my liking.
BUT...I still enjoyed this. I laughed out loud over quite a few passages. And I just loved Dean and his character arc. I’m glad I read this despite not wholly loving the titular character.
