Brooks Langfield...sheesh. He is the goalie of the Bolts and has a rep of being the golden boy, the Saint, as he is nicknamed. He has idolized his Uncle growing up as he has taken him under his wing due to his own father not being attentive and so absorbed in work. His focus is hockey and is told it should be only hockey and he cannot have the other things in life, like a girlfriend.
Insert his bestie and PR Rep, Sara Case. This girl is a riot. She is the opposite of Brooks. This current job she has as PR Rep for the Boston Bolts, is everything so she can help out her family, however, she gets herself in a little situation when she is hooking up with the coach, Brooks married Uncle.
What does Brooks do when he finds out, well, he says THEY are in a relationship. These two together as friends, fake bf and gf where PERFECT! I ship them so hard. Not only were their relationships amazing, but the friendships among Sara and Lennox and of course Brooks with his Brothers.
Brooks pulled at my heartstrings. This man was perfect. Hello, top 5 book boyfriends of 2024! Brooks is hopping up in that ranking. He is so protective, caring and loyal! I loved everything about him. I am so glad I picked this book up because it was soooooooo good! I am excited to see where the next one goes because Daddy Gavin...oooookay ;)
