Each book in the series just gets better and better! I think I like this book even more than the last one! My favorite part I would say is getting to know all the characters more deeply. The book was fast-paced, chapters weren’t too long, but they ended in such a way that you wanted to keep reading. Everything wrapped up pretty nicely but not too nice that it was irritating. Still, my biggest complaint with SJM’s writing her repetitiveness. Just an example, at the end, I don’t know how many times she said “not today, not tomorrow…” If she could just learn to write without repeating herself so much her books would probably be closer to five stars for me. No, this is not great literary fiction, but it’s a damn good time and sometimes that’s all you need. Definitely recommend and I guess now I’m hopping over to Assassin’s Blade 🤷‍♀️
