I cannot get enough of this universe! This companion story to the Tarot Sequence helps build out the fantastical world of New Atlantis and the characters that call it home. Quinn, Max, and Anna are so much fun as characters and it was refreshing to view the events of <i>The Hourglass Throne</i> from their perspective. I absolutely love the dynamic of Quinn and Max and how they try to emulate Rune and Brand. And Anna is a wonderful character that understands so much for her young age but still remains a child at heart. The story of <i>The Eidolon</i> allows us to see the world of The Revelry and how many people of New Atlantis are really just trying to fit in and survive in this hierarchical society. I appreciated getting to know more about Lady Time as well, more of her backstory, her motivations, and what makes her tick. This first installment set up more intrigue and excitement for the series to grow along the Tarot Sequence and I cannot wait to see where it goes!
